SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER: RICHARD CHOY
Richard Choy is well known to the Australian AEC industry. He is currently the CEO of NATSPEC, a not-for-profit organisation with the objective of improving construction quality. NATSPEC maintains the national building specification (NATSPEC), the national BIM documents (NATSPEC BIM), the national construction product register (NCPR), and the local government specifications for infrastructure (AUS-SPEC).
Richard has practiced within both engineering and architecture, sits on the Australian Building Codes Board, Australasian BIM Advisory Board, and is President of the International Construction Information Society. Richard has a pragmatic approach to design and believes in the societal benefits of good design. He believes that success requires knowledge, experience, and competence with a strong focus on client outcomes, without compromising values.
Richard was awarded the 2022 Australian Institute of Architect’s Queensland President’s Prize for service to the architectural profession.
