Enhancing Cladding Safety for Victorians

6/8/2024 12:00 - 1:00 PM AEST

Online

OVERVIEW:

Join us for an insightful webinar exploring Cladding Safety Victoria's (CSV) groundbreaking efforts to enhance residential safety in Victoria. Launched by the Victorian Government, this pioneering $600 million initiative is at the forefront of reducing the risks associated with combustible cladding on apartment buildings across the state.

Since its inception under the Cladding Safety Victoria Act 2020, CSV has meticulously reviewed the original plans and permits of 1,000 privately-owned apartment buildings. Through extensive engagement with affected owners and tenants, CSV has frequently encountered two pressing questions: why was combustible cladding used, and who is responsible?

In this webinar, we delve into CSV's latest report, which sheds light on the accountability for cladding compliance. With insights from over 800 buildings where sufficient design and permit information was available, we'll uncover the intricate details and robust conclusions drawn about the compliance of external wall cladding.

Don't miss this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the vital measures being taken to safeguard Victorian residents and the lessons learned from this ambitious program.
