True Zero Carbon Project Presentation - Elizabeth Wheeler Presents 'Omnia House'

04/05/2023  11:30 AM (AWST)  |  1.30 PM (AEDT)

OVERVIEW:

What does it take to reach carbon neutrality when we are still in the fossil-fuel age? In this presentation, Elizabeth will walk you through Omnia House – winner of the inaugural Design Matters True Carbon Zero Challenge. She’ll talk about the thinking that underpins the layout and form of the building, and share her imaginings for how it might be used over time. She’ll also canvas the pros and cons of materials she specified – and some she didn’t. A definite must for anyone considering entering the 2023 Challenge, this session will be bursting with tips for anyone interested in strengthening the thermal and environmental performance of their home.

Learning Outcomes:

With the entries for the 2023 True Zero Carbon Challenge opening in June, we are please to begin releasing training and CPD materials to provide orientation and insight to the Challenge event and what a winning entry might look like.

This material will not only be of value [and necessary for all TZCC 2023 entrants], however of immense value for all members who want to get ahead of the game when it comes to meeting the 7 star, solar passive and Whole of Home demands of NCC 2022... as they say, the road ahead will be less bumpy for those who are well prepared.
