Position Description
Building Design Manager Illowra, leaders in the disability housing sector are experiencing a period of rapid growth and are seeking an experienced design professional to be a Design Manager to lead our design team. This is a newly created full-time role working from home. Illowra is focused on developing a sophisticated design response to meet specific individual needs for those with disability. We are seeking someone who has a passion for innovative accessible building design. We are seeking someone who is: • Knowledgeable or has a desire to learn about innovative accessible building design principals. • Mature with at least 10 years’ building design experience. • Confident managing projects from concept through to detailed design documentation for tender/construction. • Thorough and understands the NCC, Standards and construction methodology. • Proficient with the use of REVIT. • Able to write detailed specifications. • Able to lead a design team to meet deadlines, working within a budget whilst keeping a strong attention to detail. • Proactive, self-motivated and likes a fast-paced work environment. • Qualified and is either a registered Draftsperson - Building Design (Architectural) or has the ability to become one.
