Join industry access expert (Ms) Joe Manton as she guides you through the requirements of the Liveable Housing Design Standard, recently introduced through the National Construction Code (NCC).  

Whether you're a professional in the field or passionate about innovative living spaces, this session will provide you with the context for liveable housing design and the opportunities tO improve housing for everyone.

Joe will also provide an overview of the new Access Institute course for Building Designers focusing on access and Universal Design in the built environment.

This new course is ideal for Building Designers who have responsibility for planning and designing buildings and facilities, as well as those who are required to provide advice to others regarding access and Universal Design in the built environment. The course also supports students with leading an access consulting team or operating an access consulting business.

 (Ms.) Joe Manton 

Joe has been an Access Consultant for more than 3 decades.  She is a highly regarded leader in the access industry and was the inaugural recipient of the Access Consultants Association Fellowship.

Joes work incorporates an extensive range of access and Universal Design projects in the bult environment, as well as the development and delivery of the Certificate IV and Diploma of Access Consulting qualifications course in Australia.
She has undertaken a wide range of innovative projects and training in Australia and overseas, and students from a variety of countries join her in Access Institute courses to learn and gain insight from her experience and expertise.

In addition, Joe developed and delivers the Liveable Housing Australia (LHA) Assessor course, the NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assessor course and the NCC/Liveable Housing Design Standard Assessors course.
 
 

 

 

CPD Points: 1 Non Technical CPD points for participation in Part 1 and Part 2 of the course. These points will be recorded in the DMN CPD Manager within 5 business days following the event.
