NATSPEC: Improving documentation with a proper specification

9/8/2024 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM

AWS Showroom

6 - 8 Norlin Street, Kewdale WA 6105

OVERVIEW:

With the national focus on the regulators regarding NCC compliance and protecting consumers with better construction quality, registered building designers will be required to improve their documentation.  This has already occurred in NSW and is expected to occur in other states.  Good documentation requires a proper specification.
NATSPEC’s BUILDING Domestic product is for building designers specifying site, structural and architectural domestic work. It is suitable for new dwellings, and alterations and additions to existing dwellings.
It also includes specifications for mechanical, hydraulic and electrical services design and installation work.
In this face-to-face event, Richard will speak about getting the most out of NATSPEC’s BUILDING Domestic product.
To assist DMN members, DMN has entered into a national agreement to enable members to receive access to NATSPEC’s BUILDING Domestic product. Instead of the usual price of $340 for BUILDING Domestic product, DMN members may subscribe to NATSPEC Domestic Specification at no cost.

SPEAKER:

Richard Choy is the CEO of NATSPEC, a not-for-profit organisation owned by government and industry.  NATSPEC’s objective is to improve the construction quality in Australia.  NATSPEC updates the National Building Specification for Australia (NATSPEC), AUS-SPEC the local government specification, and the National BIM Guide.
