We will explain Whole of Home and how to select and specify appliances for energy efficient high scoring outcomes. Using our average house plan, we look at what appliances we can choose for low energy, low carbon, and low-cost living outcomes. We will:
· Go over how to size up plant for space conditioning within the home
· Go through how to look up and specify energy efficient appliance options covered under Whole of Home
· Look at what information designers will need to locate and put on plans so that NatHERS assessments run smoothly
· Show how to use Appliance Templates to make the process easy for designers & assessors, and
· Look at extra measures that designers can take beyond Whole of Home to achieve low energy use homes.
