Position Description
Our office offers a friendly, casual working environment with an enthusiastic team of like-minded Building designers / draftspersons who are willing to support and work alongside of you. The draftsperson or Architect should have at least 5-7 years' experience with a passion for developing accurate Architectural drawings, customer service and producing a high standard of drawings in a timely manner. You must be proficient with AutoCAD and be able to communicate well with your office peers, consultants, builders and clients. You should have a comprehensive knowledge of the Building Code, Res-Code, Building construction and Local Town Planning requirements. You will be required to work and manage your assigned clients/projects, Site measuring, producing initial building design concepts through to final construction drawings while liaising with the Client, Engineer, Planning consultant, Building surveyor and other related consultants/authorities to produce drawings that meets the client's brief. The Mt Martha design office offers an opportunity for you to work directly with a range of clients on varied and interesting projects from small and simple to large and complex domestic projects along with a few smaller commercial projects. You must be a permanent resident of Australia and residing in Melbourne (ideally Mornington Peninsula based). You must be able to work full time Monday to Friday and have your own drivers licence. If you are proficient in any other areas such as Revit, Sketch up, Photoshop etc please include in your resume.
